Editing Plans

TITANIUM PLANS

Titanium services are only available to Gutenberg-approved authors

Gutenberg ISBN

Gutenberg-approved authors may choose to purchase an ISBN through Gutenberg Author Services, which will officially brand the selected novels with the Gutenberg Authorhouse name. The cost per book per format is $150.00 (For example, if you wanted to publish in e-book and paperback formats, those two formats would require two separate legal ISBNs, for a total of $300.00)

Gutenberg Author Profiles

Gutenberg-approved authors may choose to feature their profiles and their published works on the Gutenberg webpages. We charge $50.00/year in digital upkeep and maintenance fees, and there are no other expenses associated with this plan. Price per author, not per book. No additional charges for second novels, third novels, etc. The plan includes novel indexing, author profiling, and featured contributor status. (NOTE: This does NOT require a Gutenberg ISBN. Authors CAN choose to publish with other publishing houses. Their work will still be available at the Gutenberg Authorhouse)

GOLD PLANS

These plans are for writers who can afford to commit real funding towards building an authoritative public profile, and who are serious about getting their work up to perform at its very highest level. Gold-level editing will require a lot of work and corrections on the part of the writer and might require additional rounds of editing. Gold-level marketing will require the author to be available for interviews and other public events.

Comprehensive Editing

Comprehensive editing includes conceptual feedback, which incorporates plot, story progression, character development, background context, content arrangement and presentation, layout, format, etc., and also includes all elements of all lesser editing plans. Author receives recommendations booklet included with the text. Priced at $0.0275 per word.

File Preparation

Custom Cover Art

You present a prompt or a design, or a series of cover art ideas, and we conscript artists to render their best impressions of those ideas. We contract with the winning artist(s) to give you a cover that perfectly embodies the design you have in mind. Initial deposit of $1,000.00. Additional fees may occur if expenses exceed $1,000.00. Deposit is refundable if artwork(s) is/are processed at less than $900.00 total. Client should have a firm idea of what they want the cover to look like.

SILVER PLANS

Line Editing

Line Editing includes all mechanical and grammatical proofreading work, and also looks for likely non-mechanical errors inside of dialogue, transition text, and other areas common to mistakes. Also includes basic conceptual feedback. Priced at $0.0175 per word.

Silver Marketing Campaign

The Silver Marketing Plan includes Facebook profile management, Goodreads profile management, and, optionally, website / blog setup and maintenance. Websites and blogs will be custom-quoted depending on the specific needs of the clients and billed separately. In lieu of a custom website plan, clients may opt for the basic-level website at no extra cost. Plan also includes a professional PR release. Priced at $750.00 per quarter, billed quarterly or annually. Minimum initial commitment of six months.

Cover Art Contest

We outsource cover art contest campaigns to networks of professional freelance artists and cover designs, then our team reviews selected finalists with you to determine which artist to award with the job. One-time cost of $300.00. You maintain source rights.

BRONZE PLANS

Basic Editing

Basic Editing includes mechanical and grammatical editing necessary for any work to be considered legitimate. This editing plan does not include any conceptual feedback or recommendations, and instead focuses entirely on technical errors. Priced at one penny per word, on the dot.

Public Profile

This includes basic webpage design, Facebook profile setup, and Goodreads account setup. It's a plan ideal for the not-so-tech-savvy writers who simply want to have a public profile visible for readers to interact with. One-time setup fee of $150.00.

Cover Art Recommendations

We locate low-cost cover solutions relevant to the theme and story of your work, and put together some recommendations catered to your work. One-time fee of $100.00.
